FREMONT, CA – October 26, 2021 – Seagate Technology Holdings plc (NASDAQ: STX) today introduced the new family of Star Wars™  Beskar™ Ingot Drives, the first release in a collaboration to bring designs inspired by the Star Wars franchise to its line of PC gaming storage devices, taking gamers’ battle stations to the next level.

The first release in the collaboration celebrates the legends of the Star Wars Mandalorian™ galaxy. These drives bring the iconic Star Wars “precious metal” aesthetic to the FireCuda line-up. The special edition designs will be available in M.2 NVMe, 2.5-inch SATA, and external HDD formats. Each drive resembles an ingot of Beskar™, including its Imperial stamp featured prominently in the series, making these drives the ultimate collectible for Star Wars fans.

Seagate’s fastest M.2 2280 SSD, the PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD features speeds up to twelve times faster than SATA-based SSDs, delivering sequential read/write performance up to 7300/6000MB/s. Designed with a slim 2.5-inch form factor, the SATA SSD allows for versatile installation and build options. The PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD will be available in 500GB ($159.99) and 1TB ($259.99), the SATA SSD will be available in 1TB ($159.99) and 2TB ($269.99), and the external HDD will be available in 2TB ($99.99). 

Though the Star Wars saga extends over millennia, the wait for this release is not long. The Star Wars Beskar™ Ingot Drives are coming soon, in time for the winter holiday season. Seagate will reveal more iconic designs inspired by Star Wars  throughout the coming year.
