The 16th China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair
China Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair (CCISF), which is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C, State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee Executive Office, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Chongqing Municipal People's Government, the governments of west and some east China provinces and cities, has been successfully held for 15 years consecutively. It has obtained high degree of recognition and fully affirmed by the participators both at home and aboard.
In order to improve the inland open-economy system, to construct pragmatic and efficient cooperation platform for the western China open to the outside world and international cooperation, to provide better service for domestic and international merchants, the Fair will be added the new theme of ¡°to expand import, to boost consumption¡± based on the original theme. It will highlight characteristics of the inland opening-up highland and further improve the international and professionalized level of the exhibition. The 16th CCISF will be held in Chongqing from May 16th to May 19th, 2013. During the Fair, organizing committee will hold three thematic exhibitions about investment promotion, global sourcing and import consumption, various high level international investment and trade forums, as well as a series of thematic activities, investment-sourcing matching meeting and regional cooperation, etc. By then, there will be thousands of well-known enterprises at home and abroad gathering in Chongqing to seek common development.
Chongqing is a national central city and the only municipality directly under the Central Government in the western China, a comprehensive traffic hub in Southwest China, national important modern manufacturing base, and national urban and rural comprehensive reform pilot area. In recent years, Chongqing economy had achieved sustained growth, with accelerated pace of opening to the outside world and expanded international exchanges under today's complex and volatile global situation. Chongqing has established several national level new districts, namely Liangjiang New Area, Lianglu Cuntan Free Trade Zone and Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone -- the so called ¡°1+2+6+36¡± development platform. Three major international trade channels connecting the Yangtze River, Asia-Europe, and Southeast Asia make it possible to operate regular Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international freight train, multi-national ¡°Customs Clearance Card¡±, and multimodal transport of river to sea from Chongqing to Shanghai and of railway to sea from Chongqing to Shenzhen. In 2012, the growth rate of GDP of Chongqing took the lead among all provinces and municipalities. The total amount of import and export reached over USD 50 billion, with exports ranking No.1 in central and western regions of China. The amount of foreign investment introduced was more than USD 10 billion. There are 225 Fortune Global 500 settled in Chongqing, ranking No.1 in central and western regions. The inland opening-up highland construction has become the most distinct development characteristics of Chongqing.

1. Investment Promotion Exhibition
Time: May 16th -19th, 2013
Venue: Halls N2, N4 and N6 of Chongqing International Expo Center
Content: Including the governmental groups from brother provinces, autonomous regions and cities; foreign countries and regions as well as districts and counties of Chongqing, and enterprises both at home and aboard, focusing on the investment environment, projects and image promotion.
2. Global Sourcing Exhibition
Time: May 16th-19th, 2013
Venue: Halls N1, N3 and N5 of Chongqing International Expo Center
Content: The venue will be divided into exhibition zones especially for auto and motor industry, information industry, equipment industry, city construction, industry service, financial service, biochemical industry, modern agriculture and so on.
3. Imported Consumer Goods Exhibition
Time: May 16th-19th, 2013
Venue: N5 of Chongqing International Expo Center
Content: setting up an Imported Goods Exhibition and Trade Hall for exhibiting and selling various types of imported consumer durables and high-end consumer goods.
During the Fair, the Organizing Committee will organize about 10 high ranking forums and business banquets, such as Mainland Opening-up, Agricultural Modernization, Financial Innovation, Import Consumption, of Chongqing-Xinjiang-European International Trade Channel, Sino-American Cooperation between Provinces and States; 3 series Investment Conferences, i.e. Major Industrial Investment, Global Sourcing, and High-level Conference; and more than 20 activities between different countries (regions), such as Investment Promotion, Product Exhibition and Regional Cooperation. 1. Exhibition Service
Providing exhibits transportation, postal express, and exhibition guide map services for the participating merchants and recommend exhibition design, pavilion building service provider for free.
2. Matching Promotion
Promoting matching between investors and project initiators, purchaser and suppliers in advance to enhance the effect of discussion before the Fair. Assistance to negotiation during the Fair: arranging the supply and demand sides to carry out substantial talk, on a one to one and face to face basis.
